The so-called "real simulator" is all hype and no show. There hasn't been a truly great Gran Tusimo since GT3. GT4 and GT5P were decent, but I thought Forza and Forza 2 were better.
What's Karma is PD putting "the REAL driving sim" on their box, acting like GT is the only true sim, and Forza has been proving them wrong with every release. Forza and Forza 2 outscored GT4 and GT5P. How's that for Karma. Forza 3 is raising the bar even further.

Forza 3 looks better than any other racing sim, period. I was blown away by how good it looks. Until I see actual driving gameplay of GT5 I can't say how it will look. All I know is that Forza 3 looks better than GT5P, and that is all we have to go on right now.
You obviously don't have a clue what you are talking about. Forza has already had damage modeling, they have simply improved it. It is Gran Turismo that hasn't had damage modeling.
Forza 3 is looking the best to me. If Gran Turismo 5 ever comes out then we can compare it too.
Get real guys. Forza 3 is looking amazing. GT5 is going to have to up its game big time if it wants to beat Forza 3. GT5P x 3 is not going to cut it. Forza 3 beats GT5P in every way. I'm not talking content because obviously GT5P was not a full game, I am talking about the gameplay and graphics. If GT5 isn't a big improvement over GT5P, I think Forza 3 will be the better game.
Strange, we don't see any PS3 fans calling EA arrogant for their comments. It doesn't surprise me. Just their typical double standards.
Turn 10 says "Forza 3 is the definitive racing game this generation", which is just them saying that they think they have created the best racing game and are proud of it, yet PS3 fanboys blow it way out of proportion and act like they are way out of line.
Personally I don't think EA is being arrogant for claiming Forza 3...
Hey it's fine for you to like the PS3 more. I like my 360 a little more, but I have both. What I find hard to believe is that anybody would just happen to find all the games they like on only one console. Like I said, I like my 360 a little more and find more games I like on it, but there is no way I would want to live without some of the PS3's games like Uncharted and MGS4.

Yeah and the difference is that was just an EA exec that wouldn't really have a clue about the technical aspects of game making. This is an actual Criterion developer saying this. Anyway I don't know why it matters when everyone can see that games continue to get better on both consoles. Some devs have said they maxed out the PS3, others say they have maxed out the 360, but when all is said and done games keep getting better looking on both platforms.
There is absolutely no reason to get a PS3 either then. Especially if a person doesn't want to be associated with ignoramuses like you. Ps3 fanboys are giving the PS3 a bad reputation.

Alan Wake actually is a lot more impressive than Uncharted 2, because it looks nearly as good but it is a much, much larger game. 30 square kilometers that can all be explored and it looks that good. Amazing. Deny it all you want, but it's true.
Besides, I don't know why you PS3 fanboys are always harping on about graphics since the vast majority of games that are released (cross platform games) look better on the 360.

Alan Wake and Mass Effect 2 were both nominated as runners up in the best graphics technology category at IGN's best of E3 2009 awards.
All of these games are very close and not everybody is going to agree about which games look the best.
I think it is silly the way you say "rival graphics on the PS3" as if the PS3 has so many good looking games. It doesn't. It has a couple really nice looking games and everything else is pretty much the standard stuff...
That's your opinion. I thought Conviction looked better. They both look fantastic, it's just that one looks better in some ways and the other looks better in other ways. If you break it down into technically measurable criteria like textures, lighting, effects, etc...you can see that the two games are very close and it is going to come down to which one you think 'looks better'.

Uncharted 2 looks great, with nice textures and lighting and a great art direction. But it's still just an opinion about which you think look better.

Splinter Cell has always been at the pinnacle of graphics and Conviction is no different. I too though Conviction looked better than Uncharted. Uncharted 2 looks good, but doesn't it almost look a little cell-shaded or something? It certainly isn't going for a realistic look. Very pretty though.
Sorry to break it to you but multiplatform games are still looking better on the 360.
Hey, look on the bright side, at least you have one or two exclusives that you can point to as being a little better-looking.
I would never play a fighting game using the D-Pad, I always use a joystick, thus the 360's D-Pad isn't an issue. Besides, it isn't as bad as Sony fanboys make it out to be. It really comes down to what you get used to. All in all I like the 360's controller better than any other controller ever created for consoles.

No, but sales do show what people like and want. In the competition between the HD consoles for the core gaming market the 360 is doing better. The Wii is mostly a different market that appeals to kids, casuals and old folks.
Forza 3 looks incredible and everybody knows it. The Forza games were already brilliant in the gameplay mechanics and decent in the graphics, but now Forza 3 is just gorgeous and is also receiving a whole bunch of improvements to the physics (like tire deformation) and features (more customizability and better online features). Forza 3 is going to be amazing and all PS3 fans can do is put it down. Gran Turismo is a great franchise as well and when GT5 finally comes out I am sure it will be...
